This week I watched only two movies from the Rio International Movie Festival. My opinions on the movies - with spoilers - are under the cuts!

A Prairie Home Companion, or in portuguese A última noite - Full of country songs, it didn't make me very excited, but it was an ok movie. Loved Keving Kline as Guy Noir - including the intended pun! XD - and the scenes with Meryl Streep and Lilly Tomlin, especially when Lilly was telling a story while Meryl rambled along with her about the same story, neither taking notice that the other was talking. But I felt that the angel storyline treated the audience as being stupid - a blond woman, dressed in white, is sometimes seen and others remains unseen, and after touching a very old man, he dies. HELLO? All that hinted towards her being an angel, they didn't need to show her saying that she was an angel, and even less telling her name! I felt it would be better if they left it unsaid.

Black Dahlia - Man, I haven't realized how good is Josh Harnett at acting! Granted, I think the only movie I've ever watched with him was Pearl Harbor, but he IS a very nice actor - and I'm not talking just about his physical atributes! ;) The movie was very good, a bit convoluted in its explanations, but the scenario, the characters, the clothes, the noir felling imprinted on it, it was all great and made up for it! I just...didn't...*quite* buy the solution of the case. From what I understood - ATTENTION! HUGE SPOILERS AHEAD! - the girl was murdered by Ramona - Aunt Petunia in a most disturbing character! Harry better watch out with her! ;) XD Ramona had murdered her because her former lover George had taken a liking to her. Also, George was Madeleine's REAL father - he had been friends in the war with Emmet, and had been transfigured by him when he found out that George had had an affair with Ramona - and for a moment there I thought her "father" Emmet Linscott actually had some sort of passionate fellings for Madeleine! Talk about dysfunctional, huh? Not to mention disturbing and a little over the top to my taste!

I also wanted to watch The Fountain, but couldn't get tickets for me and [livejournal.com profile] rjann to watch it together, so, we'll have to wait until it premieres here in the big circuit, not to mention Hollywoodland - this one I missed for various reasons: the delay in releasing the tickets to sell, being showed TODAY, when we had our elections for president and governor, and because I overslept today because I had forgotten about it.

But I still have two movies to watch this week! Driving Lessons - RUPERT! YAY! - which [livejournal.com profile] patigwblack bought tickets for us to go, and The Departed, IF I can buy tickets at ingresso.com.br...*kicks website*

And since I talked about our elections... XD

Ok, over to more happy subjects now...PRISON BREAK! Yeah, I got addicted to it too! And yes, I've finally catch up with it all, up until ep 2.06! IT'S REAL! Yes, this is a tv series about a bunch of law breakers escaping the prison, and I get excited with a ship! XD It wouldn't be me if I didn't react this way, but Michael and Sara look SO GOOD together! And MAN, what was that KISS in the infirmary??? Btw, THANK YOU [livejournal.com profile] dabih for finding this icon for me! :D

About the objective of the show itself, which was the escape, it was very well archited by writers - and Michael. :) MAN, EVERYTHING that could've gone wrong did and still they escaped! I was sad that Westmoreland died before he could see his daughter.

And now that they are off Fox River, the show continues to be amazing, and gripping to the end! I already knew Veronica would die, but then WHAT THE HELL WAS SHE THINKING when she got into Terrance's house? LJ is sort of growing into me, I didn't like him at first at the beginning of season 1. Mahone is disturbingly smart and knows WAY too much how Michael's brain work. And I was angry when Abruzzi died! WHY couldn't he put revenge aside and be with his family?? I liked the old mob chief... T-Bag still irks me out, but I think that blond flirty woman from episode 2.06 troubled me more...And I love both Lincoln and Michael and their brotherly relationship! "It's so quiet out here...at prison it would be noisy all the time, I had gotten used ot it." "Want to go back?" *both laughing their @$$es off*

And I can't help but like the overly repeated phrase "Have a little faith!" It's like SW's "I have a bad feeling about this!" ;)

I still need to watch Desperate Housewives 3.01, Smallville 6.01, and Studio 60 1.02...

A HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Julie Andrews! I love her! *starts whistling some Sound of the Music song*

AND at last but not least - OCTOBER 6 IS COMING AT LAST! XD

Ah, Michael/Sara. Basicamente a razão única pela qual eu vejo PB.

Er.
