I almost forgot to leave reviews for the two movies I've already seen in the festival - it's not over yet, I still have about 5 more to watch - one of them tonight - but I want to review the ones I've already watched!

FINALLY watched the 21st episodes of VM, Smallvile and Desperate Housewives!

Yes, my connection is back. After FOUR DAYS without it, after they told me the problem in their central was fixed and that it was a problem on MY house, after they had my mom waiting an ENTIRE day for them - I was on a shift at the hospital - only to find out it was STILL THEIR PROBLEM, they fixed it in less than two hours on saturday's evening, only because I threatened to call PROCON - the brazilian service that fights for the consumers' rights.

The moment I FINALLY get Virtua on my building, I'm cancelling Velox.

Part 1: Veronica Mars

Even though there is a certain scene that made me squee, because, OMGSWAY!, the show still doesn't feel like last season - granted, this was one of the few episodes that got close to it, but...it's just isn't last season. I've noted that for quite some time now, and you guys have noted it too, so, it's no surprise, but...*sigh* I'm not as excited about it as I was with season one. Anyway, gotta love Weevil (yes, even with what he did this episode), Logan, and a couple of Veronica moments, like the dance moment, and her "Damn my curiosity!" moment. And I like Beaver and Mac - I hope it works out in the end.

Part 2: V for Vendetta

Watched it yesterday with rjann, and he was quite excited about it! Actually, everybody seemed excited about it, but even though I liked it, I was not OMG! GREAT MOVIE! like I usually am when I get excited about a movie. Don't get me wrong, I like Natalie Portman, and I don't think they could have picked a better actor to portray V than Hugo Weaving, because his voice conveys his emotions and even face expressions hidden by the mask, but...I wasn't excited. Even though I liked the movie. I guess I'm losing interest in movies in general.

*slaps herself* Ok, sorry, little moment of insanity here. I mean, how can I be NOT interested in movies? I mean, we have X3 coming out which will suck, I know, and Superman Returns which will also suck - don't let me get started on how I hate the idea of Lois having a kid that isn't Super's, and Pirates of Caribbean II and III and I fear for both because they are sequels, and those have a high chance of being bad.

Ok, where has gone my usually cheerful self? My movie!geek self? My eight or eight-hundred self, that only allows me to hate or to idolize something? *hangs her head in shame*

Well, let's hope I'm proven wrong and the next movies I go watch rock my world, right? ;) Though I have a feeling this sort of numbness has something to do with work, and that won't go away anytime soon. *sigh*

Part 3: Harry and Ginny and Peter and MJ

So, today I spent a most awesome day cuddling with my boyfriend and watching Spiderman II, and I must say that Ginny is SO gonna kick Harry's @$$ in book 7 and tell him that it's her CHOICE to be next to him, to fight with him, and to risk her neck and her life! I know this similarity has been pointed many times before, but I just wanted to say that again! :)

And I want to watch Spiderman III! Because I *think* that movie has a high chance of getting me excited over movies again! ;)

So, I just finished watching VM's season 1, and WHOA! :D

Now I'm DEFINITELY hooked up! LOVED the ending, it was unexpected, but at the same time it WASN'T! There were small things that led to it - and that leads to the second part of my post, but more on that in a moment, now I need to talk about VM, shipping and my favorite characters in the show so far! ;)

Shipping: I'm definitely a Logan/Veronica shipper, but I don't mind Duncan/Veronica. I mean, they were boyfriend and girlfriend once. She moved on - or thought she did - and started dating Logan, and according to what I hear about season 2 she got back with Duncan, for whatever reason, but besides the fact that *that* gets in the way of L/V, I don't want to take my arm off and throw at them! Duncan *IS* a nice kid, nicer than Logan under some aspects, and they are NOT SIBLINGS! Which makes them quite different than Harry/Hermione, which I can't stand simply because they *ARE* like siblings for me - but I'm not nandaweasley, so I will refrain from compairing things to Harry Potter! ;) So, I LIKE Duncan/Veronica, and if I remember all the not-so-nice things Logan did, especially in the beginning of season 1, I could prefer D/V over L/V, but I just CAN'T because I keep remembering their first kiss in 1.18! And THE WAY LOGAN LOOKS AT HER! OMG! HE GLOWS! *SHE* GLOWS! IT'S SO F*CKING PERFECT! XD

Favorite characters: I love, love, LOVE KEITH! And Eli! And Logan - when he is with Veronica! ;) LOVE THEM! *hugs*

Now, on to the second part of this post! What I like in series, movies, books and the like!

I just realized, when watching VM's season 1 ending, that what I really like in stories isn't the characterization - not that I hate the characters, no, I love them, but what REALLY does it for me, what REALLY makes me hooked up and interested in the story are the little bits, the tiny details, the small - and not so small - hints that lead up to the end, or to a great revelation and the like in the story. We have those in Harry Potter, in Farscape, in VM, and in SW - yes, in SW. Not in the movies, but in the books. That's why I worship Timothy Zahn so much! He took loose ends from the movies - created new ones - and wrote the EU books! With loose ends, little bits and "tiny hints" from the movies! ;) XD

But to say I don't care about characterizaton at all would be wrong - I do care about it. When it's WAY off - like Dumbledore almost strangling Harry in GoF. Come to think of it, the fact that I don't care - or pay much attention - to characterization is probably why I liked GoF, instead of hating it. I didn't mind Voldemort. Not even Dumbledore - save that one scene of him strangling Harry - the only one that bugged me, and because she was WAY off, was Emma Watson.

On a deeper level, not quite related to this, perhaps my disregard for characterization reflects my inability to correctly interpret people's character and real motives. That's probably why I'm a fool that always gets carried away by people that don't deserve my trust and end up being used by them.

*sigh* Anyway, I need a L/V icon! From episode 1.18! ;)

After last weekend's Veronica Mars mini-marathon, I continued - or rather, went backwards XD because I saw episodes 1 thru 10 - with a new mini-marathon, this time with dtissagirl and jujubinha - who I just added to my f-list, btw! ;) *waves*

It's a great series, totally addictive! Even though Veronica annoys me - yes, she does. I thought so last weekend, but didn't want to voice my feelings before watching more, and now I'm certain of it. She annoys me sometimes. Especially in the flashblacks, when she looks like a Barbie Doll! ;) But even so, I like the show! And I TOTALLY love her dad! "Who is your daddy?" LOL!! And Weevil! He is a GREAT character and a great personality/character analyzer - or whatever it's called. I like him. :) He is sort of a bad boy, except he totally isn't! :D

So, now, I'm only 5 episodes away from the end of Season 1 - I skipped a few unimportant ones, but I do intend on watching them afterwards - and since I already have the last five here, thanks to dtissagirl...talk to you guys later! ;)
