First, the SQUEE! I'm FINALLY going to be able to read Survivor's Quest! When it came out, I couldn't import it, and, as usual, couldn't find it anywhere here in Brazil...but now that I finally bought it and send it to my boyfriend's brother in San Francisco - because his parents are visiting and can bring the book to me - I find out a not so close friend who has it and is going to let me borrow it! SQUEE! Luke/Mara goodness! XD

Now, for the rant...the first fandom I joined, even before I knew what fandoms were or meant - or perhaps even existed the word fandom - was Superman, because of Christopher Reeve's movies. I watched those, watched Lois & Clark: the new adventures of Superman, read the comics, you name it. So, when there was rumor of a new movie, I was thrilled. When there was confirmation that Bryan Singer would be the director, I was torn between happiness for Superman and saddness for X-Men.

Then there was a certain rumour about a kid, and I was quite upset and worried, but it was just a rumour, and I tried not to think about it. So, when I heard about the Comic Con preview, I just had to watch it, and I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ecstatic with the very few scenes we got to watch on it! After watching it a couple of times, I decided to find out more about that kid...

HE IS LOIS LANE SON! Not only independent, not-fit for motherhood Lois has a child, but it's NOT CLARK's! If it was his, I could understand and even be happy, but it's freaking new character, Perry's nephew, Richard White's kid! AND this bit of rumor was recently confirmed by Bryan Singer! I'm SO MAD right now...why, oh WHY did Bryan Singer had to leave the X-Men movies? It was a disaster for both franchises - I mean, the more I hear about X-Men - Storm having a larger role, a LOT of minor characters appearing left and right and centre, but NOT Gambit - the more depressed I get, and for what? For Bryan very possibly ruining Superman! I can give him the benefit of the doubt and reserve judgment until I watch the movie, but...GAH! He better be pulling a Batman Begins' Ra's Aghul stunt, or I will be quite mad. Humpf.

Now, off to read Timothy Zahn's book! That will cheer me up! :D
