I finished it. All ten seasons. Actually, I finished it a bit over one week ago, but didn't have the time to post about it.
Season 10 is DEFINITELY an improvemment over season 9 - the storyline picks up in pace, it has more rhythm, it feels MORE like SG-1, only...it's not SG-1. Some episodes ARE SG-1, like the episodes when they were searching for Merlin's weapon - The Quest part I and II were great, and Daniel was even greater in them - but other episodes...what was up with that episode and the engorged and enfuriated dogs? Or the episode with Vala's father??? Dear GOD, whey did we had to put up with THAT???
Although I do have to admit I felt a guilty pleasure over Bounty...Aeryn meeting John's parents! :D Only, it wasn't really John's DAD...or Aeryn and Crichton for that matter...*sigh*
Another two great episodes were the ones with Jack. Obviously.
200 - what other show has made so much fun of itself - and others - before?? XD Furlings = EWOKS! "Just bring in a character to replace him." "Piece of advice, if you’re going to rip something off, think of something a bit more obscure." "There'll be spoilers." "Are you kidding – it’ll be in the commercial." "It could end with fishing" Just to quote a few...Man, they actually in some level recognized that they should have ended the show on season 8, which ended with Jack and Sam...FISHING! XD BTW, that episode when Sam is dying and she tells Cam her computer password is fishing? I think "fishing" is just a code for what she and Jack do when they meet, you know? ;) XD
The other episode was the one with Prior!Daniel. Ok, that was the lame part about it, but to see Jack again, and his interaction with Daniel and the others...old times, old times...I missed that, I hadn't realized how much! And I did NOT expect the Ori to be defeated during the series - I thought they would only be vanquished in the movie, but the only one left by then was Adria. I liked how it was handled, though, and that Merlin's weapon was the solution and that it worked!
I cried for about 10 minutes after I watched Unending. Not because of the episode, it certainly wasn't one of the more brilliant ones - I'd have preferred one million times over episode 19 Dominion as the last episode. But I cried anyway, because, after ten years - which to me were just 7 months ;) - SG-1 ended.
Unending is sad, but not perfect. We don't have Jack, for one. We have Sam getting old WITHOUT Jack, then giving up on finding a way out, on finding a way back to JACK...which is even sadder and SO NOT FAIR! We don't have General Hammond dying - I would have dehydrated if it was him that died in the end, and not Landry! But it was sad. I almost dehydrated when Thor and the other Asgard died! Come on, I've been missing Thor for quite some time, getting bored and annoyed at the other Asgard people, only to have him back and them BAM! he dies? Not fair! :( But I cried nevertheless.
I think I'm the only one down the equator to like Daniel/Vala. Yes, he was harsh with her, but he had a dead Goaul'd wife and an ex- Goaul'd girfriend, leaving him a broken man afraid to love! And Vala seemed too much of a tease and not completely sincere with him. And Vala herself has such behavior because she was an Goaul'd herself, and afraid to trust anyone, let alone really LOVE anyone! But when Daniel realized she was sincere and the effort it must be taking on her part to let go of her fear...oh, they were so sweet! I actually can compare them with Luke and Mara, but hey, I pretty much can compare anyone with anything in any fandom, especially ones I love! ;)
Jack's abscense made T'ealc more proeminent, especially because now he is more ironic. And I LOVED the fact that if anyone had to stay older and keep the memories of all those lost years in the space-time bubble it was T'ealc - he is the only one capable of holding a secret!
Loved, loved, LOVED Ba'al's interaction with Inara, I mean, Adria, during the Quest for the San Greal and then in Dominion. :P Ba'al definitely is a very dashing and - surprise! - likeable villain! XD Btw, he is BRILLIANT! It was pure brilliance to think of putting a Goau'ld in Adria's head - and not just anyone, but one of his clones! I was actually ECSTATIC to see a Goau'ld - but I think that's partially because Ori are BORING! And in the end Adria was forced to Ascend and become the last Ori. Nice twist, and it was well played out in the movie.
Obviously, having finished season 10, I had to watch the movie. What can I say? Hum, let's see:
#1 Daniel is still pretty
#2 Sam's hair was cute - I like braids!
#3 Replicators are still stupid
#4 REPLICATORS REBORN IS THE MOST STUPID IDEA THAT CHARACTER COULD'VE HAD! He got what he deserved, though, dying in the end
#5 Morgan Le Fay kicked Adria's ass - YAY!
And that's about it. When do we get the next - and last :( - movie??
As for SGA...yes, I finished season 2 and started season 3, but I'm way too tired now to post any kind of coherent review about it. But it's been good so far! Even thrilling in some parts! ;)

I'm actually afraid this movie won't meet my expectations. Heh.
