Quick post to wish everybody on my flist a Merry Christmas! I hope all Christmas truly means reverberate throughout next year in all your lives! Happiness, family, love, all that!

And, as I have done in every entry lately, I must speak of SG-1...and this time, also, SGA!

HOW COULD THEY KILL JANET??? I cried my eyes out during Heroes part 2 - heck, I cried so hard it completely made me forget all the squee'ing I did during Heroes part 1 when Jayne appeared! I kept thinking that Sam and Daniel were overreacting over what's-his-name's death - I KNEW it couldn't be Jack - but I never EVER thought it could be Janet. I really cried my eyes out. And what happened with Cassandra??

I miss Janet. I miss her claiming Daniel's body to that alien. Daniel crying in a corner in one of the infirmaries room...*sobs*

The end of season 7 was AWESOME though. Ancient!McGuyverJack was back! The battle over Antarctica was AWESOME! A friend or two had told me about it, but I never thought it could really live up to my expectations, and it did! Ancient Weapons FTW! However, WHAT'S UP WITH JACK INTERRUPTING SAM EVERYTIME SHE IS ABOUT TO CONFESS HER UNDYING LOVE TO HIM BY SAYING "I KNOW"?? I wanted to strangle him!

Just one thing, though. Remember that time when Jack was reconfiguring the crystals in the Goaul'd ship and then shot then with a zat? Sam told him she had been authorized to relieve him off his command, and he told her he resigned? THEY SOOOO SNOGGED IN THE TIME BETWEEN THAT SCENE AND THE NEXT TIME THEY APPEARED! XD dtissagirl and jujubinha, you have ruined my life by thumping Jack/Sam into my brain! XD

The beginning of season 8 was great as well! Jack being defrozen by Thor, whom I've missed terribly, and the Asgard FINALLY being able to hold off the replicators! But Replicator!Sam scares me.

Having watched the beginning of SG-1 season 8, I decided to watch the beginnig of SGA season 1 before finishing SG-1.

McKay! I like him already. Even if he was a moron during his time in SG-1. All my flist's fault, I'm sure!

Elizabeth! I like her as well, this time all Tissa's fault.

As for John Sheppard...I also like him, but this is Joe Flanigan's fault! He is cute, isn't he? XD

About the beginning of the season I have three things to say:

1) Recurrent actors! The guy who played Narim in various Tollan episodes, and the guy who played Pallan on SG-1 episode 7x05 "Revisions"! Also, not recurrent by any means in SG-1 but worth mentioning, T-1000!
2) OMFG! LOVED Atlantis! Not only it's beautiful, but their technology amazes me! WORMWHOLE TRAVEL WITH SPACESHIPS FTW!
3) The Wraiths are SOOOOO MUCH BETTER villains than the Goaul'd! Come on, stylized humanoids that live forever because they feed off humans' vitality are SO MUCH MORE FRIGHTENING than over sized, ugly, and egotistical snakes!

Now, off to finish SG-1 Season 8 before Christmas supper! Only then I intend to finish SGA S1!

Oh, e Joe Flanigan? Best hair ever. E lindo, claro.
Sheppard já foi meu personagem favorito. Mas eu me decepcionei no final de 3a. temporada. Agora na 4a. eu acho que ele está melhor, mas eu só vi 4 episódios. ;)

Atlantis é linda mesmo. Mas SG-1 tem melhor narrativa. Vc vai ver que SGA não desenvolve os personagens como SG-1. O que é uma pena.

É, vcs falaram, não tem desenvolvimento de personagem...por isso voltei pra SG-1, só vi mesmo o primeirão de SGA, vou terminar a season 8 agora...Pena que semana que vem to cheia de plantão!

Seriously, the best moment EVER on SG1 for me was in the episode that Jack keep repeating every 12 hours or so. He checked his watch, knowing that his time was nearly up, grabbed Sam, kissed the crap out of her, and BAM! It starts all over with Sam asking him... "Are you all right, sir?" I LOVE that moment with all my heart. There is one other moment that makes me all squishy inside, but it's from the very final episode of the entire show, so I won't spoil you. It's a Daniel moment though. Sigh... I miss this show.

And you know what, I haven't one single SG1 icon! GASP! You'll have to settle for Mara.

I LOVE that episode as well! He gives his resign letter to Hammond and kisses her! WONDERFUL! Another great moment between the two of them, although very sad, is in "Grace" when she talks to him - or rather, the Jack O'Neill from her imagination - and kisses him.

When Pete first appears a few episodes down the line is sooooooooo anguish to watch! Because he seems like such a nice fellow, but, you know, he is NOT Jack, and Sam belongs WITH JACK! It's almost like Lois, Clark and Richard! LOL! Except I got a creepy feeling from Pete when he started to check out Sam's background on that episode...but they never brought that back again, so, I will have to wait and see.

I'm trying to catch up on Atlantis, I've been busy with Real Life and SG-1 and Christmas, so I haven't had time to watch Atlantis at all. And I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever watch SG-1 season 9. :p

I can't advise you strongly - and repeteadly ;P - enough to watch Farscape before SG-1 last two seasons. :P

I used to think he was a dork. But then I watched the show, and now I am sure he is the most

Also? Elizabeth rocks. Hard. I really must watch SGA's season 1 again. And! And when you reach The Storm/The Eye, you will find out exactly when I fell in love with the show.

Okay, not really, Elizabeth = awesomecakes. Although I'm still too bitter. SIGH. [But I brought SGA S1 along with me and I might try watching a couple of eps later today in the spirit of having been completely obsessed with Liz this time last year. Heh.]

I *REALLY* can't stand Vala until S10. That's the only season I don't want to kill her [I hate goofy/comic relief characters on principle]. Also, Daniel/Vala = BIG FAT *NO* for me, but I can't tell you why, it's a spoiler.

Btw, do you think I should finish ALL of SG-1 before watching SGA or should I watch SG-1 S8 >> SGA S1 >> SG-1 S9 >> SGA S2 >> SG-1 S10??

Also, I watched RECKONING yesterday. Replicator!Sam scares me, but Daniel managed to turn the table on her and even controlled the replicators for a few seconds!!! :D

I don't 'ship Vala with Cameron either. I don't 'ship her with anyone, actually. But I especially *hate* her with Daniel for reasons I can't tell you until you've seen S10.

You can go however you like with SGA. It probably makes more sense following the air dates for both shows. Also, SG1 S9 is booooooooooring booooooooooooring boooooooooooooring while SGA S2 is pretty good, so you probably should watch them together -- you'll need the distraction.

I watched the Reckonings yesterday as well. :) Hee. I heart those episodes very much. And try downloading Threads again! Are you using VLC to watch it? VLC plays *everything*!

Well, I'm almost finishing season 8, and have only seen the pilot of SGA. I guess I will follow the air dates then for the next seasons!

Reckonings are great - and Daniel is great on them as well, I don't know why you girls like to pick up on him so much! ;))

VL-what? *googles it* The file is the right size, but it won't play...*sigh*

VLC, best player ever. It'll play *anything*, sometimes even corrupted files.

I don't care enough for Daniel's storyline to pay attention. Also, Mala Desala, real or fake, ANNOYS ME TOO MUCH. Fast forward is my friend. Heh. Reckoning for me is all about Sam and Jacob working with Ba'al. That's one of my favorite things EVER in the show.

Also also, Isaac Hayes as a Jaffa is just freaking neat. *g*

It's not the same device, it just looks like it -- Ancient technology design is very consistent. *g* There's at least one other device with the same look that shows up later on the show.
