This weekend I was MIA because last friday I went to São Paulo to go to another HP Brazilian fan convention, like ours PotterRio.
It was nice to travel with my sisters
dabih,
frinitrix and my dear friend Jana - you can see a picture of us at this link, btw - and to see a lot of our friends from SP. We went as the Black Sisters and Lily Evans.
The event was very good, especially for a first-time event. It was a bit disorganized, yes, and there were unexpected problems, but what event doesn't have those? :p And the event was quite full of people! :)
I liked the "gincana" (don't know the English word) for finding especific passages in Book 5, and the cosplays. The people who attended - as well as the organizers, some of whom I know :) - were very cool, and I lost count of how many pictures people took of us and with us - together or apart. They even asked us for autographs! O_O
The high point for me - and I am a bit biased, of course - was the cosplay contest, since my sisters and I won the 1st prize for Best Cosplay Group. :D
And I still can't believe that, midway through the event, I was called to help with my medical skills - a woman was not feeling well, and they asked me to check on her. I coulnd't do much being where we were, just did a first check up on her trying to identify what it was and what we could do, and asked them to call the ambulance - she probably had food intoxication, or some side effect from a medicine she had been taking for a week. I felt important and all that - although a bit silly for talking with the paramedics wearing my Andromeda Black costume... XP
Ok, I'm tired now and really need to get to bed...and thank you all once again for the congratulations on my graduation! :D
