LJ seems to be acting up today...*sigh*

Saw two movie trailers today, from movies I'm waiting for.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Johnny Deep and Keira Knightley have some really cool scenes in this action and special effects-packed trailer. But we have very few scenes with Orlando Bloom. I wonder if that's because his character, despite being a pirate's son, never wanted to be a pirate, while on the other hand Keira's always wanted to be one. Her scene killing two "sea pirates" with two swords? Looks promising. I have to say I'm worried about this movie because it's a sequel, and it was filmed together with the third of the franchising, but from all the movies I can't wait to see that are about to premiere and that I'm worried about - and I think I'm worried about all of them - this one is the one that worries me the least.

Superman: Returns I posted about this in a reply to [livejournal.com profile] louisemcgregor's post, but I'm reposting here. Yes, the trailer is AWESOME, the airplane scene with Super trying to catch the plane but ripping of its wing was OMG!PERFECT!, and all Super's flying scenes were cool. Clark breaking the glass covering Lois, Jason and Richard's photograph is a great scene too - as well as the last one, with the famous lines "It's a bird. It's a plane. No, it's..." *Clark enters the room*

Kevin Spacey is disturbingly similar to Gene Hackman! XD And I mean that in a good way! He grasped Gene's interpration spot on, except for one bit - at least I hope! I don't think he will play him like a clown, like Gene did, but rather like a psycopath, which I think is more fitting.

But two things I can't cope with in the trailer. Lois and the kid.

I still don't like Bosworth as Lois. Ok, she said something fitting for Lois, when she said she didn't need a savior. But she didn't say like Lois would say - her entonation, her voice, her body language, all wrong IMHO. Well, I know I will only be able to really judge her when I actually see the movie - right, Priw? - but...she just doesn't feel right.

And the kid IS Clark's. Period. Either that, or Brian Singer is a dead man. XD

I actually have a theory about that - Lois was pregnant when Clark erased her memory at the end of Superman 2. When Superman left, she started dating Richard, and when she found out she was pregnant, having no recollection of sleeping with Clark because he eraser her memory, she thought the baby was Richard's! XD And when Jason - it's the kid's name, isn't it? - does something, in the very end of the movie, like flying, she will remember all of it! And probably smack Clark on the face - not that THAT will do any harm to him physically, but perhaps it will hurt his pride! XD

I really want to trust Brian Singer blindly, he did great movies until now, but...it's Superman! *is afraid*

Anyway, is it June yet? :)
